The entire world remains in the grip of the COVID-19 Pandemic. It has assaulted our elders, those keepers of knowledge, wisdom, and memories, whose very existence has given us our own.
I never chatted with my grandparents about their own lives. They didn’t live nearby and, like most of us, I hardly gave it a thought….

A small journal crossed my path a few years ago entitled “Dear Grandma, from You to Me“, a collection of blank pages each with a question about aspects of a grandmother’s life. As I thumbed through it, my mind teemed with thoughts of advances and events I’d seen firsthand. It was a light bulb moment.
Although I bought that book and prepared note after note about memories, events, controversies, I did little with the contents even as the pile grew higher. I knew that wee journal would be far too small.
In the end I landed on this site, as a grandmother with lots to tell. It’s a good place to start.
